Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, 2024

The Phillip Withers team will be returning to the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show in 2024, with our garden ‘SaltBush’.

Designed by Phillip Withers in collaboration with Fiona Brockhoff, SaltBush is a journey through the Victorian landscape. Inspired by a wish to encourage a sense of stewardship in the next generation, SaltBush will feature a diverse palette of Victorian plants that support local wildlife. All materials used will be recycled or locally sourced, championing the beautiful resources at our fingertips.

After the show, SaltBush will be
relocated to Phil’s home, minimizing waste and allowing it to live on as part of the Bellarine peninsula ecosystem, which was an early inspiration for the garden.

This year collaboration is key, and we are delighted to be working with a wonderful team of consultants, makers, and growers. AB Bishop will be providing her expertise on habitat creation and plant selection, and Longview will be building the garden with support from Reflective Scaping, Ben Hutchinson Landscapes and Ryan Thomas. Head over to our Instagram to learn more about all the people involved and stay tuned over the next few weeks.

Come back and check out this page as well as we explore the key themes of SaltBush in a series of blog posts, in the lead up to MIFGS 2024.

SaltBush will be at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, 20th to the 24th of March, 2024.
